Adeleke imposes full curfew on Igbajo town after demise of Famodun

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered a full curfew on Igbajo town following the death of former APC chairman, Gboyega Famodun. The government said the action was necessary to prevent unrest and keep the community safe during this sensitive period.

According to the state authorities, security reports showed rising tension in the town shortly after the news of Famodun’s demise broke out. To avoid any breakdown of law and order, the government decided that movement in and out of Igbajo should be restricted until peace is fully restored.

The curfew will be enforced by security agencies, who have already been deployed to the area. Residents were urged to cooperate with officials and remain indoors for their own safety. The government also warned that anyone found violating the curfew would face legal consequences.

Governor Adeleke expressed condolences to the family of the late Famodun and called on the people of Igbajo to remain calm. He assured citizens that the curfew is only temporary and will be lifted once the environment is stable and secure.
