President Bola Tinubu has restated his administration’s dedication to improving Nigeria’s security system as 1,187 new police cadets officially graduated from training. He noted that strengthening the police force is necessary to protect citizens and respond better to rising security challenges across the country.
Speaking at the passing-out ceremony, President Tinubu explained that the government is investing in modern equipment, better training, and improved welfare for security personnel. According to him, these reforms will help the police become more professional and better prepared to face criminals.
Security officials at the event said the newly trained cadets have been equipped with skills in intelligence gathering, combat readiness, and community policing. They emphasized that the new officers are expected to apply these skills in real situations to enhance safety in their assigned communities.
The ceremony ended with a renewed call for discipline, integrity, and service among the new officers. Nigerians were assured that the government’s ongoing reforms will continue until the police force becomes stronger, more efficient, and capable of tackling insecurity nationwide.
