A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has criticized the recent expulsion of Representative Leke Abijide, describing the action as unjust and politically motivated. The group emphasized the need to respect due process within party structures to avoid internal conflicts.
The faction also warned against attempts to hijack the party’s leadership and decision-making processes. They argued that such moves could weaken the party and undermine its credibility ahead of upcoming elections.
According to the faction, Representative Abijide has been a loyal member of the ADC, contributing significantly to party activities and grassroots mobilization. Expelling him without following proper procedures sets a dangerous precedent.
The group called for dialogue among party leaders and members to resolve differences and ensure unity. They urged the ADC to uphold fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness in all internal matters to strengthen the party.
