Honourable Gadgi has called on Nigerians and the government to face insecurity directly and reject the trend of accepting violence as normal. Speaking at a recent security forum, he warned that tolerating criminal acts and attacks threatens national stability and slows development. Gadgi stressed that citizens must remain vigilant and proactive to ensure communities are safe.
He highlighted that insecurity in Nigeria has reached worrying levels, with incidents of banditry, kidnappings, and armed robberies becoming more frequent. Gadgi noted that normalising these acts makes them harder to combat and could create a culture of fear and lawlessness. According to him, both government agencies and citizens have a responsibility to uphold peace and security.
Gadgi urged state and local authorities to strengthen security measures, increase patrols, and engage with communities to gather intelligence on criminal activities. He also encouraged citizens to report suspicious behavior and cooperate with law enforcement to prevent crime. In his view, a united approach is the only way to reduce violence and restore public confidence.
He concluded by reminding Nigerians that fighting insecurity is a continuous effort, requiring commitment, courage, and cooperation. Gadgi emphasized that no region or community should accept violence as a daily reality, insisting that proactive measures can make Nigeria safer for all.
