APC Governors Forum condemns Kebbi school abduction

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Governors Forum has strongly condemned the recent kidnapping of schoolgirls in Kebbi State. The forum described the attack as heartbreaking and unacceptable, stressing that no child should be afraid to attend school in Nigeria. The governors said the nation must unite to protect students and restore peace in communities facing insecurity.

In their statement, the APC governors called on security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the kidnapped girls safely. They encouraged the military, police, and other forces to work together and close all escape routes used by criminals. The forum also urged security operatives to improve intelligence gathering so future attacks can be stopped before they happen.

The governors expressed sympathy to the families of the abducted students and promised full support to the Kebbi State Government during this difficult period. They added that education must continue without fear, and the safety of children should be treated as a top priority. According to them, the attack is a reminder that insecurity remains a serious challenge that requires urgent national action.

They concluded by calling on Nigerians to cooperate with security authorities by providing useful information. The APC Governors Forum said they remain committed to supporting policies, resources, and strategies that can help end school kidnappings and ensure a safer Nigeria for all children.
