Nigeria’s rising terror attacks have sparked a strong reaction from a public affairs analyst, who says President Bola Tinubu must take urgent action or consider resigning. According to him, the level of insecurity across different regions shows that government efforts are not producing meaningful results. He stressed that Nigerians are tired of repeated promises, while violent groups continue to operate freely.
He explained that many citizens no longer feel safe in their homes, on the roads, or even in public places. The analyst noted that kidnappings, killings, and attacks on villages have become almost normal, which he described as a sign of leadership failure. He added that the government cannot continue to blame past administrations when the current situation is getting worse.
The analyst argued that Nigeria needs a clear and aggressive security strategy that involves intelligence gathering, better equipment for security agencies, and accountability for failures. He emphasized that simply issuing statements after every attack is not enough, and that the president must show strong political will to restore safety. According to him, the presidency must act, not respond with speeches.
He concluded by saying that if President Tinubu cannot provide the security Nigerians desperately need, then stepping aside would be the honorable thing to do. He believes that the lives of citizens should come before politics, and Nigeria needs a leader who can protect the nation effectively. The analyst’s comments reflect the growing frustration among Nigerians who want real solutions, not excuses.
