Media personality Kikelomo Abati has strongly condemned former Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose, over his recent outburst against former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The confrontation reportedly followed an event linked to Obasanjo’s post-birthday celebration, where Fayose made remarks Abati described as disrespectful and unnecessary. She argued that public figures should uphold decorum, especially when addressing elder statesmen.

Abati stressed that regardless of political differences, leaders must show maturity while expressing their views. She noted that Obasanjo remains a national figure whose contributions to Nigeria’s development cannot be dismissed. According to her, Fayose’s comments were reckless and undermined the values of respect and leadership that Nigerians expect from those in public office.
