Kebbi schoolgirls: Enough is enough, we must fight – Aisha Yesufu

Activist Aisha Yesufu has called for urgent action following the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State, stressing that the nation must confront insecurity decisively. She described the recurring attacks on schools as unacceptable and urged citizens and authorities to act.

Speaking on social media, Yesufu emphasized that every Nigerian must play a role in demanding accountability and stronger protection for children. She stated, “Enough is enough. We must fight against these attacks and ensure our children are safe.”

The activist highlighted the psychological and social impact of kidnappings on communities, noting that such incidents instill fear and disrupt education. She urged both federal and state governments to prioritize the safety of schools.

Yesufu’s statements come amid widespread outrage over repeated school abductions in northern Nigeria. Many Nigerians have expressed frustration at the slow response of security agencies to protect vulnerable children.

Observers believe that voices like Yesufu’s could pressure authorities to intensify security measures, improve intelligence gathering, and ensure swift action against perpetrators of school kidnappings.
