Former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu, has opened up on the individuals he believes are behind the ongoing crisis rocking the party. Speaking during a recent media interaction, Anyanwu claimed that a group of influential party members has been working behind the scenes to destabilize the PDP for personal political gains.
He explained that these actors allegedly sponsor internal divisions, fuel conflicts, and push agendas that weaken the party’s unity ahead of key elections. According to Anyanwu, the crisis did not arise by accident but from calculated actions of those who prefer control and influence over the collective progress of the PDP.
Anyanwu warned that unless the party identifies and confronts these internal saboteurs, the PDP may continue to face leadership battles and structural instability. He urged party stakeholders to prioritize truth, transparency, and reconciliation to restore unity and rebuild public trust.
His revelation has added fresh tension to the already fragile atmosphere within the PDP, with many awaiting responses from party leaders and the accused factions.
