A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has publicly distanced itself from the David Mark-led camp, dismissing the group’s declaration of a national headquarters. The faction insisted that the facility being paraded by the Mark group does not represent the authentic or legally recognised headquarters of the party. According to its leaders, the ADC’s true national structure remains intact and is not connected to any parallel office created by disgruntled members.
They explained that the David Mark camp is acting outside the party’s constitution and have no authority to speak or make decisions on behalf of the ADC. The faction warned party members and the public to disregard statements issued from the rival camp, saying such actions are attempts to sow confusion and destabilise the party.
Leadership of the recognised faction reiterated their commitment to unity and lawful internal administration. They maintained that all official communications and activities will continue to come from the legitimate national officers, not from splinter groups.
Party stakeholders are urging calm while advising members to remain focused on strengthening the ADC ahead of future elections. They believe the internal dispute, if well-managed, will eventually reinforce discipline and clarify true leadership within the party.
