Tinubu reappoints Mohammed Marwa as NDLEA Chairman

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially reappointed Mohammed Marwa as the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The move comes as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the fight against drug trafficking and abuse in Nigeria.

Marwa, who has previously held the position, is recognized for his experience in leading anti-drug campaigns and implementing policies aimed at curbing substance abuse across the country. His reappointment signals continuity in the agency’s strategies and ongoing programs targeting drug-related crimes.

In a statement released by the Presidency, President Tinubu expressed confidence in Marwa’s leadership and ability to maintain NDLEA’s focus on enforcement, rehabilitation, and public awareness initiatives.

“Mohammed Marwa has shown dedication and results in his previous tenure. We trust that under his continued leadership, NDLEA will enhance its impact and address the challenges posed by drug abuse and trafficking,” the statement read.

Marwa, in response, thanked President Tinubu for the trust and pledged to continue working tirelessly to ensure a safer and drug-free Nigeria.
