Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has officially presented a N914.8 billion budget estimate for the 2026 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly. The budget proposal focuses on improving security, developing infrastructure, boosting agriculture, and supporting economic growth across the state.
Governor Mutfwang explained that the budget is designed to continue rebuilding Plateau and improving the lives of citizens. He noted that key sectors such as education, healthcare, and rural development will receive strong attention. The governor also stressed the importance of peace and stability for development, promising that security efforts will be sustained.
Members of the State Assembly commended the budget plan and pledged to review it thoroughly. They also assured citizens that they will work closely with the executive to ensure proper implementation. The 2026 spending plan aims to enhance social services, create jobs, and strengthen the state’s economy.
