The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended its former governorship candidate in Anambra State, Chukwuma Ezenwafor, over allegations of compromising the party’s interests during the recent governorship election.
According to party leaders, Ezenwafor was accused of working against the PDP by engaging in actions that reportedly favored other political interests during the election. The party stated that such conduct was unacceptable and went against the values of loyalty and unity expected from its members.
The suspension, described as a disciplinary measure, aims to allow further investigation into the allegations. Party officials emphasized the need to protect the integrity of the PDP and ensure that members remain committed to the party’s success.
Meanwhile, Ezenwafor is yet to publicly respond to the suspension or the claims against him. The party encouraged its supporters in Anambra to stay focused and united as it works to rebuild and strengthen its political structure in the state.
