Anambra election: Peter Obi was not on ballot – Obidient Movement

The Obidient Movement has reacted to conversations around the recent Anambra election, reminding the public that Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was not on the ballot. The group said people should stop linking the election outcome to Obi, stressing that it was a state governorship contest and not a presidential one.

According to the movement, some individuals have been using the election result to discredit Obi and the Labour Party’s popularity. They pointed out that Obi did not contest in the poll, and therefore the result does not reflect his political strength or support base.

Leaders of the group explained that the Obidient Movement remains strong and focused on building a better political future for Nigeria. They added that linking Obi to the election result is only an attempt to create confusion and weaken the movement’s influence.

They also urged supporters to stay calm, stay united, and focus on future elections, where the real political tests will take place. The movement stated that Obi’s name and credibility cannot be tied to a contest he did not participate in.
