General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has finally commented on former U.S. President Donald Trump’s military threat against Nigeria. Speaking on Friday, Pastor Adeboye called for prompt and decisive action to address security challenges in the country.
The cleric advised that Nigerian authorities should “move fast” to protect citizens and tackle terrorism effectively, emphasizing that delays in addressing threats could worsen the situation. He stressed that every effort must be made to safeguard lives and maintain peace across the nation.
Pastor Adeboye also urged leaders to remain united and work collaboratively with security agencies to prevent further attacks by insurgents and militant groups in the North-East and other vulnerable areas. He highlighted the importance of both strategic planning and swift execution in national security matters.
While acknowledging international concern over the security situation in Nigeria, Adeboye emphasized that solutions must prioritize Nigerian-led initiatives rather than relying on external military intervention. He encouraged citizens to support government efforts and remain vigilant.
The pastor’s remarks come amid heightened tensions following Trump’s warning of possible military action if Nigeria fails to address the alleged killings of Christians by terrorist groups. Religious and political leaders across Nigeria have since called for calm, unity, and proactive strategies to tackle insecurity.
