A group known as Concerned Nigerians has sent a petition to former U.S. President Donald Trump over the recent killings in Zamfara State. They expressed fear about the growing violence in the region and asked Trump to help draw international attention to the situation. According to the group, innocent people continue to suffer due to increasing attacks by armed groups, and government action has not been strong enough.
In their statement, the group said many families in Zamfara are living in fear as bandit attacks and kidnappings persist. They stressed that the situation is becoming unbearable, with lives and property constantly under threat. They urged global partners to pay attention and support efforts to restore peace in the state.
The petition also accused authorities of failing to protect residents adequately. Concerned Nigerians insisted that stronger intervention is needed to stop the violence and bring relief to affected communities. They said the government must act faster and be more serious about security.
They called on Trump to help pressure international organizations and foreign governments to assist Nigeria in tackling insecurity. According to them, global support and partnership are necessary to end the killings and rebuild affected areas.
