Anambra guber: Soludo funding state militias to disrupt polls – YPP candidate

A governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Anambra State has accused Governor Charles Soludo of allegedly sponsoring armed groups to interfere with the upcoming election.

According to the YPP candidate, the governor is funding state-backed militias to create fear among voters and influence the outcome of the poll. The candidate described the alleged actions as dangerous and warned that such interference could damage the state’s democracy and security.

He called on security agencies and federal authorities to investigate the claims and ensure a peaceful and free election. He also urged Anambra residents to resist intimidation and come out to vote without fear.

The YPP standard-bearer stressed that credible elections are necessary for good governance, insisting that no candidate should use power or force to determine election results.
