Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has highlighted the steps his administration is taking to tackle the housing shortage in the state. According to him, providing affordable homes remains a major priority as many residents still struggle to secure decent accommodation.
The governor explained that his government is working with private developers and financial institutions to build more low-cost houses across the state. He said this approach allows the government to deliver more homes without placing heavy financial pressure on public funds.
Governor Sani added that Kaduna is creating an environment where ordinary citizens, especially low-income earners, can have access to safe and modern housing. He noted that new housing estates are already underway, including models designed for civil servants, traders, and other working families.
He also emphasized that strong infrastructure — such as water supply, roads, schools, and security — is being put in place around the new estates so residents can enjoy full community benefits. According to him, housing development goes beyond building structures; it is about improving quality of life.
The governor assured residents that the housing initiative will continue to expand until the deficit is significantly reduced. He called on private investors, communities, and development partners to continue supporting the state’s mission to make home-ownership easier for Kaduna citizens.
