Anambra election: 6,879 BVAS configured, ready for use – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed that a total of 6,879 Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines have been configured and are ready for use in the upcoming Anambra governorship election. According to the commission, all devices have been tested and prepared to ensure smooth and credible voter accreditation on election day.

INEC emphasized that the deployment of BVAS is part of its commitment to transparent elections, stressing that the machines will help prevent voter fraud, ensure accurate voter identification, and boost public trust in the electoral process. The commission assured residents that all technical and logistical arrangements are in place, including backup machines and trained personnel.

The electoral body urged voters to come out and participate peacefully, promising that the technology and security measures set up will support a free, fair, and credible election in the state.
