He noted that Mikel Arteta’s men have conceded only three goals in nine matches, showing top-level organisation and discipline.

Mikel admitted that his former club Chelsea will struggle to compete for the title with their current defenders. According to him, the centre-backs at Stamford Bridge are not strong enough to win major trophies. He stressed that Chelsea’s backline lacks the quality required for a title push, explaining that defensive strength is key to becoming league champions.

The ex-Super Eagles captain praised Arsenal for building a balanced squad capable of challenging for the top prize. He pointed out that defence wins titles, and Arsenal’s record so far proves they have what it takes to go all the way. He added that if any club is likely to lift the trophy this season, it is Arsenal.

Mikel’s comments will disappoint Chelsea fans hoping for a turnaround after a mixed start to the season.
