Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen has reportedly advised Napoli midfielder Frank Anguissa to make the move to the Turkish Super Lig champions if the opportunity comes his way. The Nigerian striker, who previously played alongside Anguissa at Napoli, is said to have spoken highly of the club and encouraged his former teammate to join.
The report was shared by Galatasaray journalist Ali Naci Küçük on the SkySpor YouTube channel, confirming that Galatasaray are targeting Anguissa as part of their plans to strengthen the midfield in the January transfer window. The Cameroonian international has been a key player for Napoli since joining from Fulham, but speculation continues about his next move.
Interestingly, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray’s fierce rivals, had previously shown interest in signing Anguissa. However, Osimhen’s endorsement might sway the midfielder’s decision if negotiations advance.
According to Küçük, Osimhen told his ex-teammate, “If such a situation arises, make your decision in favour of Galatasaray. I haven’t regretted it for a minute. Don’t even think about it—Galatasaray is very big, come.”
Osimhen, who has quickly become a fan favourite at Galatasaray, is reportedly eager to see Anguissa join him in Turkey. The potential reunion could bring more strength and experience to the club’s midfield as they continue to dominate in the Super Lig and aim for success in European competitions.
