Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, better known as Blaqbonez, has revealed that he would be comfortable being in an open marriage. The “Back In Uni” crooner made this known during a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, where he discussed his views on love, marriage, and intimacy.

According to the Chocolate City star, many married couples experience a decline in intimacy over time because they limit themselves to one partner. He argued that it is normal for married individuals to explore sexual relationships with others, especially when their spouses are unavailable.

Blaqbonez explained that an extramarital affair does not necessarily mean emotional betrayal. He believes that as long as loyalty and emotional connection remain strong, a married person can still be devoted to their partner even while being intimate with others.

He said: “I don’t mind having an open marriage. Most couples don’t maintain the same level of sexual activity they had at the start. It reduces. If I’m on tour or busy, and someone else satisfies her sexually, that’s fine. There’s more to marriage than sex. What matters is dedication and connection.”

The rapper added that marriage should not be built on physical intimacy alone. He humorously mentioned that if he ever marries, he would prefer separate rooms for himself and his wife, meeting only when they both desire intimacy.
