The Ohanaeze Ndigbo community in Lagos State has pledged full support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the upcoming 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in his leadership and performance so far.

Speaking during a reconciliation meeting organized by Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), the Lead Visioner of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, the group’s President General, Chief Sunday Udeh, urged both Yoruba and Igbo residents to maintain peace and unity. He said President Tinubu had shown competence in governance and deserved another term to complete his reforms.

Chief Udeh stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) remains strong in Lagos and across Nigeria, noting that Igbos in the state would continue to cooperate with the government. He appealed for more engagement between the Lagos State Government and ethnic communities to strengthen inclusion and trust.

Also speaking at the event, Deacon Charles Obih, President of the Market Leaders Association of Nigeria (TMLAN), said the Igbo business community would work towards ensuring Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. He praised the President for his resilience and commitment to stabilizing the economy despite tough national challenges.

In his remarks, Dr. Okey Anorue, the Eze Ndigbo of Igbogbo/Bayeku and Babaloja of Tejuosho Market, called for mutual respect and unity between the Yoruba and Igbo communities. He urged Igbos in Lagos to reject political provocations and focus on peaceful coexistence, saying both groups must cooperate to move the state forward ahead of 2027.
