My offense was serving love on plate’ – Actress Sarah Martins cries out over alleged assault

Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has shared her painful experience after allegedly being assaulted by uniformed officers while she was preparing free meals for the homeless in Lagos State. The actress, known for her philanthropic outreach, revealed that her charity initiative was disrupted by officials believed to be from the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force.

According to Sarah, the officers stormed the area where she and her team were cooking and began to harass them. They reportedly seized her cooking materials, including her gas cylinder, food items, and other supplies meant for the outreach. The actress expressed shock over the incident, stating that she was only trying to spread love and compassion through her actions.

In a video shared on Instagram, Sarah displayed her injured hand and recounted how the officers bullied her and interrupted her mission of kindness. “My heart aches. Today, as I was cooking free food for the vulnerable and homeless people on the streets of Lagos, like I always do, some uniformed men came there, harassed me, bullied me, and took away everything I was using. My only offence was serving love on a plate,” she lamented.

She clarified that her intention was purely humanitarian, stressing that she is not a professional chef or caterer but simply someone who wants to make a difference in her community. Her emotional message has sparked sympathy and outrage among her fans and social media users, many of whom called for accountability from the authorities involved.

Sarah Martins has since appealed to relevant agencies to investigate the alleged assault and recover her seized belongings. She reiterated that her only aim was to provide food and comfort to the less privileged, not to break any law or disturb public order.
