Transfer: Lookman to join Osimhen at Galatasaray

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman is reportedly eyeing a move to Turkish champions Galatasaray, where he could reunite with his Super Eagles teammate, Victor Osimhen. According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Galatasaray’s head coach, Okan Buruk, is eager to bring the Atalanta winger to strengthen his attacking options.

Lookman, who currently plays in Serie A for Atalanta, had earlier tried to push for a move during the summer transfer window. Reports say Inter Milan showed strong interest but had several bids turned down by Atalanta. Despite submitting a transfer request and missing training sessions, the 27-year-old eventually remained at the Italian club.

Sources suggest that Osimhen may play a role in influencing Lookman’s decision, as both players share a close bond on and off the pitch with the Nigerian national team. Their partnership at Galatasaray could be a major boost for the club’s attack and increase its chances in domestic and European competitions.

The Turkish side is now planning to offer an initial loan deal for Lookman, with the possibility of making the move permanent after assessing his performance. Negotiations are expected to intensify in the January transfer window.

If the move goes through, it would mark a new chapter in Lookman’s career after successful spells in England, Germany, and Italy. His potential link-up with Osimhen could create one of the most exciting attacking partnerships in the Turkish Super Lig.
