The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the commencement of its 2025 recruitment exercise for airmen and airwomen, inviting eligible Nigerians to apply online.
According to a statement released on the Force’s official X handle on Monday, the registration process is free of charge and will run from October 14 to November 25, 2025. Interested candidates are required to apply via the NAF recruitment portal at nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
Upon completing the online application, applicants must print out key documents, including the acknowledgement slip, parent/guardian consent form, and local government area attestation form. These forms must be duly signed by authorized officials such as:
- A military officer (not below the rank of Wing Commander or equivalent in the Army or Navy),
- A police officer of at least Chief Superintendent rank,
- A local government chairman or secretary, or
- A magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.
The attestation form must also feature the signee’s passport photograph and a photocopy of a valid ID, such as a driver’s licence, national ID card, or international passport.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Be physically, medically, and psychologically fit in accordance with NAF standards.
- Meet height requirements — 1.66m (men) and 1.63m (women).
For Non-Tradesmen/Women:
- Age: 18–22 years.
- Education: Minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings (WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS).
- Must present a valid secondary school testimonial.
For Tradesmen/Women:
- Age: 18–27 years.
- Qualification: Minimum of ND or NCE (Lower Credit) from a recognized institution.
- Must also have five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
- Drivers and similar trades must possess a valid trade test certificate and a driver’s licence.
For Sportsmen/Women:
- Must provide proof of professional experience, such as certificates, medals, or awards.
NAF further emphasized that no applicant should have any criminal record, and warned against engaging with fake recruitment agents. The Force confirmed that details about the zonal aptitude test for shortlisted candidates will be published later on the official recruitment portal.
