The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has promised that Nigerians will witness unprecedented development projects in Abuja by the time President Bola Tinubu marks his third year in office. Speaking at the commissioning of access roads in Sector Centre B, Dakibiyu District, Wike expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s leadership will deliver remarkable results for the nation.
According to the minister, Nigerians should remain patient and hopeful as the administration continues to push transformative projects across the country. “By next year, Mr President’s third-year anniversary, Nigerians will see what they have never seen before,” Wike stated. He emphasized that President Tinubu’s commitment to progress will take Nigeria closer to the ‘promised land’, urging citizens to stay optimistic.
Wike also addressed political opponents, stressing that progress in the FCT cannot be ignored regardless of political differences. He noted that despite criticism from some quarters, the results of the government’s work are visible. “Even if you hate Mr President, can you deceive yourself to the point of saying nothing is going on in the FCT? Certainly not,” he added.
The minister explained that each sector of the FCT is undergoing evaluation and development, saying it is time for everyone to show their “report card.” He encouraged Nigerians to judge the administration based on tangible results rather than sentiments or party loyalty.
Highlighting the essence of democracy, Wike said the ongoing road projects and infrastructure upgrades in the FCT represent the true dividends of democracy. He reiterated that under President Tinubu’s watch, Abuja will experience a transformation like never before — one that will redefine the city’s image and impact the lives of residents positively.
