Abbas swears in three new House members

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has officially sworn in three newly elected members to the lower chamber of the National Assembly. The brief ceremony took place during plenary at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.

The new lawmakers are replacements for members whose elections were either nullified or who vacated their seats following court rulings and party decisions. They took the oath of office and allegiance, pledging to uphold the constitution and serve their constituencies with integrity and commitment.

Speaker Abbas congratulated the new members and urged them to focus on laws and policies that promote national unity, development, and accountability. He reminded them that public office is a call to service, not personal gain.

The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by several lawmakers, aides, and family members who came to show support. With their induction, the House now continues its legislative duties with full representation across constituencies.
