The Nigeria Police Force has said it is yet to receive any official court order stopping it from enforcing the ban on vehicles with tinted glass permits. The clarification comes amid public confusion following reports that a court had restrained the police from arresting or prosecuting drivers using tinted windows.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the police cannot act based on social media reports or unverified claims. He explained that the force operates strictly on legal documents and official communication, adding that once a valid order is received, necessary steps will be taken in compliance with the law.

Adejobi also urged Nigerians to remain law-abiding and avoid using unauthorized tinted glasses for security reasons. He emphasized that the regulation was introduced to help curb crimes often committed with vehicles that have darkened windows.
