2027 Threat: Lagos’s NURTW Chairman, Sego Speaks After Being Released On Bail

The Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as Sego, has broken his silence after being released on bail. Speaking to journalists, Sego addressed the ongoing speculation about alleged threats linked to the 2027 elections, insisting that he remains committed to peace and stability in the state.

He described his recent arrest as a misunderstanding and expressed gratitude to his supporters who stood by him. Sego emphasized that his focus is on uniting union members and ensuring smooth transport operations across Lagos. He also dismissed rumours that he was involved in any political violence or intimidation ahead of the next general elections.

The transport leader urged the public to disregard fake news and assured that the NURTW under his watch will continue to cooperate with government authorities to maintain order. He reaffirmed his loyalty to Lagos State and promised to keep promoting peace among transport workers.
