An aide to House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas has criticized those labeling former Anambra governor and Labour Party leader, Peter Obi, as an anarchist. According to the aide, such remarks are driven by bigotry and political intolerance rather than facts. He argued that branding a political opponent with such extreme terms undermines healthy democracy.
The aide stressed that Obi has consistently championed non-violence and rule of law in his campaigns and public engagements. He noted that political differences should never be turned into hate-driven propaganda, especially when it involves a national figure advocating for reforms through peaceful means.
He further urged Nigerians to reject divisive rhetoric and instead focus on constructive debates about policies and governance. According to him, name-calling and extreme accusations do not solve the country’s problems but only heighten tensions. He concluded that politics should be based on respect, truth, and accountability.
