Supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, popularly known as Obidients, have called on the party’s national chairman, Julius Abure, to publicly apologize to Mama P, a prominent supporter, over the alleged assault she suffered during the recent Benin Airport incident. The call for an apology has gained momentum online as many argue that such actions undermine the values of respect and inclusivity the movement stands for.
According to the supporters, Mama P has been a strong figure in mobilizing grassroots support for the party, and any harm against her should not be ignored. They insisted that Abure, as the leader of the Labour Party, must take responsibility and show leadership by addressing the issue and ensuring it does not repeat itself.
The Obidients further warned that silence on the matter could create division within the movement. They stressed that unity and mutual respect remain crucial if the Labour Party is to maintain its influence and strength ahead of future political battles.
