Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has assured that governors in the South East are actively working with relevant authorities to secure the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Speaking during an interaction, Otti emphasized that the issue of Kanu’s detention remains a key concern for the region, and efforts are being coordinated behind the scenes to achieve a peaceful resolution.
The governor stressed that while public agitation continues, diplomacy and constructive engagement with the Federal Government remain the most effective ways to handle the situation. He noted that the collective stance of South East governors is rooted in the pursuit of peace, security, and justice for the people of the region.
Otti further called on residents to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring them that the leadership of the region would not relent until progress is achieved.
