Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has dismissed reports linking him to meetings with former U.S. President Donald Trump and Lagos transport leader MC Oluomo. Obi described the stories as fabricated lies aimed at misleading the public and damaging his reputation.

He stressed that throughout his political career, he has maintained a clear record of honesty and has never engaged in secret dealings. According to him, those spreading such claims are only trying to distract Nigerians from the real issues of governance, insecurity, and economic hardship.

Obi urged citizens to focus on demanding better leadership and accountability rather than giving attention to false stories designed to stir confusion. He reiterated his commitment to advocating for a new Nigeria built on truth, transparency, and fairness.
