The Amana State Movement has once again highlighted the need for the creation of Amana State, stressing that the region holds strong economic potential and deserves recognition.
Speaking during a recent public hearing, leaders of the movement reminded stakeholders of past promises made to the people and argued that creating the new state would bring fairness, balance, and development to the area.
They pointed out the region’s natural resources, agricultural strength, and human capital, noting that these could be harnessed to boost Nigeria’s economy if Amana State is approved. The group also emphasized that state creation would promote inclusiveness, reduce political marginalization, and open up fresh opportunities for growth.
Supporters of the movement have urged the Federal Government and the National Assembly to act on the demand, describing it as a matter of justice and national development.
