Abuja Estate Raid:CCTV Shows Alleged EFCC Operatives Before Camera Was Destroyed

Residents of an estate in Abuja have raised alarm after CCTV footage allegedly captured men believed to be operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during a late-night raid.

According to eyewitnesses, the CCTV cameras first recorded the group entering the estate before one of them destroyed the device. Residents claim the raid left many people frightened, with doors and windows forcefully broken.

The footage, which surfaced online, has sparked outrage and debates about whether due process was followed. Many Nigerians are calling on the EFCC to provide clarity on the incident, stressing that such operations should respect citizens’ rights and property.

At the time of filing this report, the EFCC has not issued an official statement on the matter.
