A 22-year-old woman has been taken into custody in Limpopo, South Africa, after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death.
The suspect, identified as Jo-Ann Ntokoto Mabasa, is accused of killing 31-year-old Xichavo Ntsanwisi during the early hours of Monday, September 22, 2025, in Midrand, Giyani, Limpopo.
Ntsanwisi, who was originally from Mhinga village near Malamulele and worked for the Greater Giyani Municipality, was discovered dead at Colnbrook Estate in Noordwyk, Midrand.
Reports say he was found lying on the kitchen floor with a stab wound to his upper chest, close to the neck. A knife with a yellow handle was recovered next to his body.
Police confirmed that Mabasa was present at the scene and admitted to stabbing her boyfriend.
Emergency responders from Netcare Ambulance arrived but sadly declared Ntsanwisi dead on the spot.
