Katsina Ala Chairman Receives Bodies Of 8 Policemen Killed By Bandits

A dark cloud fell over Katsina Ala Local Government Area of Benue State as the council chairman formally received the bodies of eight policemen who were killed in a violent attack by armed bandits. The heartbreaking handover took place in the presence of security officials, grieving families, and community leaders.

The slain officers were said to have been on duty when they were ambushed by heavily armed criminals. Their deaths have reignited concerns about the growing wave of insecurity in the region, where banditry and armed violence have continued to claim lives.

The chairman, while consoling the bereaved families, promised that their sacrifices would not be forgotten. He also called on the federal and state governments to intensify efforts in tackling insecurity, stressing that the lives of both civilians and security personnel must be better protected.

The tragic incident has stirred reactions across Benue and beyond, with many Nigerians mourning the officers and urging for stronger measures to restore peace in affected areas.
