Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has promised not to take President Bola Tinubu’s kindness for granted, while assuring the people of the state that peace and normalcy have fully returned.
The governor made this known on Friday at the Government House in Port Harcourt, shortly after his return from the six-month suspension imposed by the President.
Fubara was greeted by a huge crowd of jubilant supporters who turned out to welcome him back. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to them and to all Rivers people for their unwavering support during the difficult period.
“I appreciate everyone who stood by us to restore normalcy in Rivers State,” Fubara said, while addressing his followers. “I know many people wanted to hear from me the moment I arrived. Truly, I expected it.”
He assured the people that his administration remains focused on delivering development and good governance, adding: “We will, by the grace of God, continue to provide the things that made you love us. I will not take President Tinubu’s kindness for granted.”
