A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Ulasi, has said that only God can determine whether the party will win the presidency in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Arise Television’s Morning Show on Friday, Ulasi explained that while the PDP is making efforts to rebuild and prepare ahead of the polls, its ultimate survival and success lie in divine hands. He stressed that no one can predict tomorrow, adding that the future of the party rests with God.
Ulasi pointed out that the party recently held a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting which was attended by at least seven governors. According to him, the development was a refreshing sign of unity and a renewed commitment to repositioning the party for upcoming elections.
On zoning, Ulasi confirmed that the PDP has already zoned its presidential ticket to the South. However, he argued that fairness demands it should be further micro-zoned to the South East, as the region has yet to produce a president under Nigeria’s current democratic system.
