Paris Saint-Germain captain, Marquinhos, believes as many as nine PSG players are worthy of winning the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

The Brazilian defender, speaking ahead of next week’s ceremony in Paris, said the sheer number of PSG stars nominated makes the choice “very complicated.” He also backed Ousmane Dembélé, noting that if the French winger takes home the award, it would be “widely deserved.”

Dembélé is among the leading contenders for the prize, alongside Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Kylian Mbappé, Mohamed Salah, and Vitinha. The award recognizes the best footballer in the world over the past season.

Last year’s winner, Rodri of Manchester City, claimed the 2024 Ballon d’Or ahead of Real Madrid duo Vinícius Júnior and Jude Bellingham. With multiple PSG names in the mix, fans are eagerly waiting to see if the prestigious trophy will land in Paris this time.
