WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler has pulled out of a planned event after suffering a stroke, TMZ Sports reported.
The health scare happened last Friday at one of his homes in Florida. His daughter confirmed that he is recovering and will spend the next few weeks resting at his main home.
Lawler was scheduled to appear at HorrorHound Weekend in Cincinnati on Friday, September 12, but the organizers announced on Monday, September 8, that he would not be attending because of personal matters.
At 75, the wrestling legend has battled several health problems over the years. He suffered a major stroke in 2023, another in 2018, and even a heart attack live during a WWE “Monday Night RAW” broadcast in 2012.
Despite these challenges, sources say Lawler is recovering well and is expected to regain full health. His most recent public appearance was in February at a WWE “SmackDown” taping in Tennessee, where he looked cheerful and in good spirits.
