A tenant died on September 3 in the Oriyangi area of Ibadan, Oyo State, after a disagreement with his landlord over rent turned tragic.

The deceased, identified as Olayeni, was said to have been arguing with his landlord about unpaid rent when the fight escalated.

According to the Oyo State Police Command, an associate of the landlord attacked Olayeni with a weapon during the dispute, causing him to collapse immediately.

He was rushed to the hospital but was later confirmed dead by doctors.

Police confirmed that the suspects involved have been arrested, and investigations are currently underway to determine the full details of the case.
