“I’ll rather quit politics than align with Tinubu” – Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour

Former Lagos governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, has declared that he would prefer leaving politics entirely than cooperate with President Bola Tinubu in Lagos political matters.

Speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today on Sunday, Rhodes-Vivour, who recently left the Labour Party for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said he would rather focus on his business, career, and family than waste time on political alignment with Tinubu.

He explained that his political beliefs are very different from Tinubu’s and emphasized that his goal is to restore Lagos to its former glory while ensuring that the wealth of the state benefits its citizens.

Rhodes-Vivour also revealed that his move to ADC has the support of Peter Obi, highlighting that they are collaborating to build a strong opposition coalition for upcoming elections.

Additionally, the politician claimed that police officers were involved in supervising an attack on him and his supporters at a recent event in Alimosho over the weekend, a statement that the Lagos State Police Command has denied.
