A 56-year-old Egyptian man, Mohammed Saleh, has died after suddenly collapsing while having dinner at the Abuja Intercontinental Hotel in Wuse Zone 4 on Friday night.

Witnesses said Saleh was eating with three other companions when the unfortunate incident happened.

The hotel’s Security Supervisor, Francis Yusuf, immediately reported the matter to the Wuse Division Police at about 9:24 p.m.

He was rushed to Kings Care Hospital in Wuse Zone 4 and later referred to Wuse District Hospital, where doctors confirmed him dead. His body has been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police have since launched an investigation to determine the cause of his sudden death.
