Three Premier League teams reportedly attempted to sign Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo on loan for the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur were among the clubs that made approaches for the 19-year-old.

Mainoo himself had been open to leaving on loan in search of regular game time, but Manchester United decided not to sanction a move and insisted he stays at Old Trafford.

Interest in the England international was not limited to England. French side Marseille, along with Serie A clubs Napoli and Roma, also asked about a possible transfer before the window closed.

In another transfer development, Arsenal have received an offer for forward Leandro Trossard. Reports from Turkey suggest that Besiktas have submitted a €25 million bid for the Belgian attacker.

According to Sozcu Spor, the Turkish club has revived their pursuit of Trossard, who has been linked with a move away from the Emirates following Arsenal’s attacking reinforcements this summer with the arrivals of Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke.
