NBC had to suddenly stop a live baseball broadcast after two fans were caught engaging in a sexual act in the stands.
The incident happened during a game between the Athletics and the Texas Rangers on Saturday, August 30. Cameras in Sacramento accidentally captured a couple getting intimate in the crowd.
As the camera moved across the audience, a couple in the front row could be seen smiling and looking directly at the camera.
Suddenly, the man began touching the woman inappropriately, shocking everyone watching.
The commentators were left speechless as the footage quickly switched back to the game.
“I want to apologise to everyone watching at home,” said the lead commentator, jokingly calling the man “a handful.”
For about 30 seconds, the broadcast continued in silence while the commentators tried to regain their composure.
As the game resumed, one commentator made a light-hearted joke: “A’s down by a few, trying to grab a couple back.”
The network then switched to a commercial break while viewers took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their reactions.
One user, mkmt9017, wrote: “This is the best! Now that’s a date night!”
Another user joked: “Better not be anybody’s CEO,” referencing a similar viral incident during a Coldplay concert last month.
