Activist Aisha Yesufu has called on Deji Adeyanju to present clear evidence to back up his recent allegations against 2027 presidential hopeful, Peter Obi.

Adeyanju has on several occasions described Obi as fraudulent, claiming he has proof that the former Anambra governor is not who he claims to be.

In his latest remarks, he also accused Obi of being a manipulator and religious bigot, sparking reactions among Nigerians, with many suggesting his attacks might be sponsored by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

In response, Obi has already taken legal steps by dragging Adeyanju to court, demanding that he provide the alleged evidence of fraud.

Yesufu, a strong supporter of Obi, said there was no need to trade words with Adeyanju. She noted that since he insists he has proof, the best place to present it is in court.

She further explained that the case would give her and millions of Obi’s supporters the chance to see the truth for themselves and decide whether to continue backing him or not.

Posting on X, she wrote that Adeyanju, being a lawyer, should bring forward the evidence he claims to have. According to her, she would never support anyone found to be fraudulent, and this legal process will help confirm Obi’s integrity.

Yesufu also maintained that Obi’s decision to seek redress in court was the most civil step to take. She stressed that when a lawyer makes such strong allegations, the appropriate response is to resolve it legally.
