Residents of Kajola in Odigbo Local Government Area, Ondo State, are in shock after the alleged killing of a 28-year-old man, Ifeanyi Otu, by a suspected drug dealer, Eze Amadi, also known as Lecturer.

Reports say Amadi brutally tortured Ifeanyi to death and later stuffed his body inside a water drum during the night.

According to Hope Newspaper, the Ondo State government-owned publication, Amadi tried to secretly move the body with a motorcycle, but residents caught him. His arrest sparked anger and fear in the community.

The incident happened on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Adeyalo Street, Kajola, leaving residents shaken and worried for their safety.

Locals said they had often heard someone crying in pain at night but never knew what was really happening until the shocking discovery.

Speaking about his loss, the victim’s father, Mr. Michael Agwu Otu, said the death of his son was a huge tragedy for his family.

“I was at home when I received a call that my son’s body had been found inside a water drum, wrapped with foam,” the heartbroken father said.

“When I arrived, I saw his lifeless body after the drum was cut open. I was told the suspect was caught while trying to carry the corpse on a motorcycle. The whole community demanded his arrest immediately.”

Community youth leader, Gideon Akinsuroju, confirmed that Amadi and two other suspects were handed over to the police.

“This terrible crime has left everyone in shock. We want the police to make sure justice is done and the killers face the law,” he said.
