A tragic incident occurred in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh where a 19-year-old boy murdered his 14-year-old cousin after she resisted his attempt to molest her inside their family home.

The accused, identified as Samoon, first hit the young girl with a gas cylinder before attacking her several times with a spade, leading to her death.

In an attempt to hide his crime, he dug a shallow pit inside the house and buried the girl’s body halfway with soil and wood.

The victim’s mother returned home and was devastated to discover her daughter’s body. She immediately alerted the police, who acted quickly and arrested the suspect.

Police officers strongly condemned the crime, confirming that Samoon and his friends connected to the case were in custody while investigations continued.

The incident took place in Boudha village under the Chhaprauli police station. The victim lived there with her widowed mother and siblings.

On the day of the murder, the girl was home alone as her mother had gone to collect fodder and her siblings were at school.

According to police, the accused admitted that he had a one-sided crush on the girl. He tried to take advantage of her being alone, but when she refused, he lost control and attacked her violently.

After the killing, he attempted to cover up his actions by digging a pit in the room and trying to hide the body.

Thanks to the mother’s quick action, the police responded immediately and arrested the suspect before he could escape.

Superintendent of Police Narendra Pratap Singh assured that strict legal measures would be taken against Samoon and anyone else found guilty in the case.
